Happy New Year Everyone!

We are embarking on a new year. Our plan is to issue a monthly newsletter and we would welcome any articles you would like to contribute for placement in the newsletter. In addition, we currently accept company feedback via our Online form or the suggestion box on-site in our sales manager’s office.

Our winning suggestion for the month of November 2007 was submitted by Vicki Anderson (billing dept.), and her suggestion was to start a monthly newsletter. As you can see, we took her great suggestion and made it a reality both Online and off. The winning suggestion for the month of December 2007 was submitted by Sue Strom (consulting dept.), her suggestion was to put up a company bulletin board for personal ads, announcements etc. Both of the past monthly winners took home their $100 cash prize for coming up with the winning suggestions. All employees are eligible to receive the $100 prize, simply submit your suggestion ad the winner will be announced the following month.

We also encourage our clients to submit feedback. At this time there are no cash prizes for our client suggestion winners, however we will continue to brainstorm new ways to ‘give back’ to our clients with the best feedback or suggestion each month.

PubCon 2007: Las Vegas Trip Update by Chris Wilde

The world’s largest Website Publisher Conference (PubCon) happens every year in beautiful Las Vegas, Nevada. This year the Visible.net booth achieved rock star status with the best position and a constantly busy booth full of visitors. Special thanks go out to Matt Franklin (tech dept.) for managing the event. We also want to thank our company founder along with our general manager for arranging everything. It was a blast, we can’t wait for next year.

In a convention center the size of a stadium, one half was training where Google, Yahoo and others shared secrets about 2008. My favorite was Craig from Craigslist. He showed how a small team with good leaders can grow to be a top Internet company.

The Visible.net booth had prime location at the event. We were first when you walk in, right next to Google and Yahoo booths. We gave away company swag in the form of Flexfit hats, lanyards (you know, the things that hang your stuff around your neck) and even our one of a kind t-shirts. Booth visitors asked tons of questions about purchasing our software. A total of six worked the booth, but Matt gets the award for talking to the most prospects. Go Matt!

Interesting fact: All the trainings said the future was to “start doing” what Visible.net already does every day for our clients. We also noticed no other company had software anywhere close to the best Visible.net ecommerce package.

Vegas odds predict: 2008 will be a good year for Visible employees!!

Visible.net Company Notes

Here’s what happened around the company in December 2007. Thanks for all your hard work everyone.

Top Service Consultant December 2007:

Sal Hakim

Employee Handbook Update:

We are in the process of updating our Visible.net employee handbook which should hopefully be complete and ready for distribution sometime in early Spring. It is designed to change and improve many of our company policies/processes. We want you to enjoy working at Visible.net and the new handbook is in no way intended to make your employment more complicated. The plan is to continue to grow and improve as an ecommerce company.

Christmas Party Update:

Our company Christmas Party was held as Level 5 Club in Seattle on Friday December 14th. Most of our staff of over 100 attended and had a blast. At the party, management announced this year’s new profit sharing employees. This year, one person from our technical department and one from our service consulting department made profit share. Way to go everyone, thanks for a great year.

New Employees:

Visible.net hired 11 new employees during the month of December.

Employee Birthdays:

Visible.net is celebrating birthdays for 12 employees this month.

That does it for this months issue of Visible.net Reflections. It has been a great year/month and we are looking forward to the year to come. Thanks to all our clients and employees, without you, we wouldn’t be where we are today. Check out next months newsletter on the Visiblog.
